Stainforth Cemetery consists of a 5 acre site which has been in use since the 19th Century. It has Catholic and non-Catholic sections along with a Memorial Garden where plaques can be displayed. There is a Chapel and War Memorial on site and toilet facilities are available. The Town Council welcomes enquiries in relation to family tree research for which a small charge will be made. Further information can be obtained from the Cemetery Superintendent on the above number.

Recreation Ground

The Town Council manages a Recreation Ground on Church Road. Facilities include football and cricket pitches and a Pavilion with changing rooms, showers and kitchen area (catering available if required). The Pavilion benefited from a major overhaul in 2006 following a successful funding application. The site is well used by many local sports teams and has also been utilised for fun days, galas, bonfire events and other fundraising activities.

Main access is made via Oldfield Close. There are an onsite car park and a smaller car park on Church Road adjacent to a children's play area. There is also a miners memorial statue situated within these grounds.
